Terminology and definitions

Each county has the ability to enter in their data using their own methods, which leads to different terms being used throughout the website. For example, one county may have an instrument type of OGL, while a second county may have OG Lease and a third county might have Oil & Gas Lease. If you can't find the type you are looking for, it may be that the county has it entered under different text for that type.
